Ohio Northern University recently hired Thomas M. Frost as the Student Affairs Coordinator. Frost began employment at the start of the Spring 2021 semester. Before coming to Northern, Frost worked in the office of Student Life and Success at Urbana University. Additionally, Frost is currently seeking his degree in Organizational Leadership at Wright State University.
Frost defined the duties and responsibilities of a Student Affairs Coordinator as “supporting the functions of student affairs,” while also working closely with the Office of Student Involvement. Further, Frost supports actions within student activities and is one of the advisors for the Student Planning Committee, a student organization on campus.
When asked what propelled Frost to seek out and accept employment at Ohio Northern University, Frost said “the campus is beautiful, and it’s full of so much history,” and that it’s very similar to where Frost grew up. In addition, Ohio Northern’s location is “in a safe and quiet village (Ada),” which is a plus.
So far into the semester Frost stated he has “loved every bit” of his experience. In meeting and interacting with students and student organizations like Student Senate and Student Planning Committee, positive relationships are being built between both students and colleagues.
Frost also wants to make the relationships between students and colleagues meaningful,in addition to making students “feel supported” and colleagues feel Frost is a “team player.”
Frost recently oversaw the Iceless Ice Skating event held by Student Senate and the Hypnotist event over Zoom so far this semester.
