What is happening around us this week? I am here to catch you up on everything you may have missed in the news! Right now, there are events happening in places like Asia and our own United States of America. All you have to do is read.

Asia

In light of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the United States, I found it interesting to look at what breast cancer means to other countries. Pakistan has the highest rate of breast cancer in Asia, but doctors fear many are not coming forward for treatment due to the modest culture they live in. The disease impacts one in nine women in Pakistan, but they feel they cannot get the help they need to survive because it is associated with their sexuality. Women´s health is very low on the agenda.

United States

California wildfires, driven by strong winds, cannot be contained. As a result, more than half a million people are without power as we speak. Unfortunately, the worst of the wind is still on its way.
