Popular game-show host Bob Eubanks is ready to test people’s knowledge of their significant other on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in The Not So Newlywed Game with Bob Eubanks show that’s kicking off the 2015-16 Performing Arts Series at the Freed Center for the Performing Arts.
Tickets are $5 for Ohio Northern University students, and can be purchased at the Freed Center’s box office before the show.
The Not So Newlywed Game with Bob Eubanks is a live replica of the popular 1960’s and 1970’s television game show, The Newlywed Game. Eubanks will find out how much married couples really know about each other, from their favorite colors to more personal and intimate questions about their relationships.
The Newlywed Game first premiered on television in 1966, with Eubanks as the founding host. The show grew to become one of the most popular television game shows ever produced, and it still is broadcast on the Game Show Network, with Sherri Shepherd serving as host.
Eubanks became most associated for hosting The Newlywed Game during his celebrated career. He also promoted music concerts by popular musicians, including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan. He has produced network game and variety shows on television, and GameShowFame.com named him one of the top five game-show hosts of all time, following Alex Trebek of Jeopardy!, and Bob Barker of The Price is Right.
Eubanks has won eight daytime Emmy awards for his game-show hosting, and received a lifetime achievement award.
