Playing Dirty: Res Life Hosts Annual Mud Volleyball Tournament

One of the most cherished traditions at Ohio Northern is the annual Mud Volleyball Tournament hosted by the Office of Residence Life. Taking place the first weekend of the new semester, the event is a creative way to share some laughs and have an excuse to roll around in mud.

The turnout surpassed expectations with over 250 players across 40 teams signed up to play on the holiday weekend. This not only impacts student culture, but but also the Ada community. All proceeds gathered from the event were donated to The Dolly Parton Imagination Library, which directly supplies reading material to children in Ada.

This year, the event was organized by Cole Newlove, the Resident Director of Founders Hall. “For it being Mud Volleyball on Labor Day weekend, it was incredible to see such great turnout and contagious energy at the event,” he stated. “It really is an honor and pleasure for anyone involved to be part of such a classic Ohio Northern tradition.”
